Guided by the sacred master plants, Mother Ayahuasca, and ancient rites of initiation, this 23-day retreat is a profound Rite of Passage. A sacred initiation into what is most essential: your authentic voice, truth, and unique purpose as a human being.

In Quechua, “Yachay Ñawi” refers to the awakening of true sight.
To discover your path, you must first see yourself and live the experience of your true Self:
the undoubtable, immutable truth of your heart and being.

A Call to Initiation

This is a process of inner death and rebirth with Ayahuasca and Amazonian Master Plants, burning away layers of masks and limitations, to rise from the flames in our authentic power and purpose.

A sacred initiation through the wisdom of a primordial humanity, inviting you to release what misaligns with your heart, heal the wounds of fear and pain, and be born again in your deeper truth.

The Journey

Over 23 days, we embark on a deep inner journey of purification, healing, and self-discovery—releasing pain, the past, and limiting beliefs. This is a path of alignment with your dharma and reconnection with your heart and the universe within you.

A Rite of Passage

Ancient wisdom cultures understood the importance of rites of passage to discover the deeper truths of who we are.

These were trials of fire that purify and heal the being – initiations stripping away what obstructs our essence, and rebirthing us in alignment with our deepest truth.

Here, the spiritual warrior sheds victimhood and inertia, stepping forward in the sacred duty of existence. Cleansed by the flames of self-knowledge, the warrior emerges reforged in clarity, truth, and purpose.

The Four Stages

Walking the Sacred Path

The 23-day Vision Quest is divided into four initiatory pathways or stages, where you will go through a profound process of confronting yourself, awakening to deep truths, and emerge reborn. It is a journey of transformation – shedding the old, seeking vision, and stepping into your inner power and knowing.

STAGE ONE: Purging, Purification & Letting Go

“To be reborn, we must first die to that which we are not.”

All spiritual paths begin with purification and preparation: to purge from the mind, body and spirit what is not true to the heart. To be able to see, we must clear the way for true vision – Ñawi. Only then can we hope to see beyond our illusions and find ourselves.

This first stage is a shedding; a decoding and deconditioning. The wisdom of the medicine will show you what must be seen. Plant Purges, Sacred Ayahuasca ceremonies and introspective processes guide you deeply into yourself, where you witness your fears, doubts, and wounds, and begin to lift the veil on them, showing you what must change and heal.

Your work here will coincide with the Total Lunar Eclipse – a moment that signals change and invites us to reflect on our obstacles, conditioning and how they eclipse our inner light and consciousness.

This is a stage to witness the patterns of the mind, the limiting beliefs, and the negativities that bind you. It is a call to awaken your personal power and take responsibility as the creator of your reality, stepping fully into your highest potential.

STAGE TWO: The Search for Vision - Ñawi

“The path is revealed when you become silent enough to hear it within you.”

The next stage is the Sacred Vision Quest: a shamanic diet with the master plant Ajo Sacha, sometimes referred to as ‘The Opener of the Way’.

This is a search to embrace the Ñawi, to truly see. During these 10 days of solitude and stillness in the forest – letting go of the known and listening to the earth, the sun, and the master plant that speaks from within you – the voice of your heart and purpose may be revealed.

You will be guided by “Guerrerito” – the Master Warrior Ajo Sacha who demolishes obstacles, who destroys negative creations with the strength of an Amazonian warrior who burns what does not belong to us; destroyer of “spells” or dense clinging energies that show themselves as addictions, immunodeficiencies, chronic pain, post traumatic stress and fear. Ajo Sacha strengthens our inner master, arms us for battle to stand in our truth with righteousness and compassion.

He shows us our wounds and scars, our reactions and how we are living within the limits of pain and reaction. Ajo Sacha is the plant of forgiveness, of the opportunity to let go… to burn with the strength of the warrior (sinchi medicina) all that does not belong to us. Understanding the nature of forgiveness, its power and real nature infuses us with power and strength.

The vision quest with this ancient teacher marks a new beginning: a definitive before and after in life. Along with the invaluable insights with Mother Ayahuasca, this stage of the journey is a sacred rebirth – emerging from the chrysalis with newfound strength, clarity, and purpose. It is the moment we rise, no longer bound by old fears, but standing as warriors of truth, ready to walk the path we were always meant to walk.

STAGE THREE: The Rites of Rebirth

“The true meaning of Sacrifice is the act of turning what no longer serves into something sacred.”

To end the vision quest in isolation, with the forces of the astrological shift of the Autumn Equinox, we step into the next rite of passage: The Ritual of Rebirth, with the The Sacred Shamanic Fire.

This is your moment of conscious choice, where you stand at the threshold between what was and what will be. Before the flames, you will sacrifice the fears, doubts, and limitations that have held you back, surrendering them to be purified and transmuted into light, strength, and courage.

Through the ancient “Apacheta” rite, you will make a sacred offering that carries the weight of your past, your lessons, and the deepest prayers and intentions of your heart. The “Apacheta” is an offering to Pachamama, an Inca tradition, developed throughout the retreat – an offering to secure and point the way to our inner work. The offering is your own path of understanding, transmutation and detachment. A declaration to the tutelary Apus (the sacred mountains of the earth) of the culmination of your rebirth.

Here, on the eve of the Autumn Equinox to mark your transition, you make the choice to fully embrace the new Self that has been awakening within you, where you decide to live the change, from this day forth.

STAGE FOUR: The Return, Grounding & Integration

As your journey through the depths of transformation comes to completion, you arrive at the sacred moment of return, the gentle yet powerful re-integration into your new Self, grounded and clear. The fires of rebirth have done their work; now, you stand not just as a warrior in battle, but as a being in harmony, walking forward with steadiness and grace.

With hearts open, we offer our gratitude to the master plants, the ancient teachers and divine masters who have healed us and guided us in their deep compassion; to the earth, the sun and stars, and all that helped see us through this sacred passage. In ceremony, we offer our gratitude to Pachamama, honoring all that we have received, acknowledging the wisdom that now lives within us.

This is not an ending, but a beginning.

Immersed in Nature: Your Home During the Retreat

Nestled in a hidden forest-garden in the quiet Andalusian countryside, Sinchi Runa offers a beautiful sanctuary steeped in silence, aliveness, and the deep presence of nature. Here, among the sweet birdsong, the caress of the wind, and starry night skies, you are invited to return to something essential within yourself.

Your stay will be in a spacious, private bell tent (our version of ‘glamping’) equipped with a comfortable bed, mattress, and duvet. Each tent rests in the heart of the land, offering serene views and the soothing embrace of the natural world. Creating the conditions for deep reconnection: with yourself, with nature, and with the spirit of the plants.

The facilities are simple and intentionally rustic, inviting a shift from modern comforts into the quiet richness of presence. Our kitchen, showers, and bathrooms are outdoors, allowing you to remain immersed in the elements.
